Low-odor constructions can be evaluated against VDA 270 and other cabin-air requirements. The actual rating depends on the selected adhesive, carrier and test conditions; request the applicable report for your program.
QWill the low-odor tape yellow or outgas over time?
Outgassing and yellowing depend on the adhesive, carrier, substrate and environment. We can review the required aging or VOC test method and provide the relevant grade data before approval.
QWhat substrates can low-odor tape bond to?
Leather, fabric, foam, ABS and other interior plastics, plus painted or coated metal. For low-surface-energy substrates such as PP or TPO we offer a corona / primer-treated construction to maintain bond strength without compromising the low-odor claim.
QIs the low-odor tape suitable for high-temperature automotive interiors?
Standard grade is rated to 100°C continuous. For dashboard or sunlit cabin zones we recommend our high-temperature low-odor grade tested to 120°C, paired with a release liner suitable for automated die-cut application.
QCan the low-odor tape be supplied as die-cut pieces?
Yes — kiss-cut pieces, individual gaskets and converted rolls, all using the same eco-friendly adhesive system. Common applications include A-pillar trims, headliner attachments, door panel fixings and EV battery interior NVH pads.
QDoes the low-odor tape meet OEM specifications for cabin air quality?
We can review VDA 270, VDA 278 or GB/T 27630 requirements and identify a grade for project testing. Program approval should be based on the report for the selected construction, not on the product category alone.
